Bird Watching

So much needs to be done. It is such a beautiful spring day. The harmony kitties understand what is important. They take the time to soak in the warm sun and watch the birds and squirrels scurrying here and there. I think I'll take a moment to join them in some bird watching.

Goodbye is all we have!

When we die we
take our gifts with us,
some unopened
for others to see.
When we die we
take our dreams with us,
to play them in eternity.

"Dad, wherever you are...I hope that it is truly as beautiful as you. I miss you so much there are not any words to describe the feeling. I love you." ~your baby girl Chrissy

Goodbye is all we have. (part 2)

I thank you for the music and your stories of the road
I thank you for the freedom when it came my time to go
I thank you for the kindness and the times when you got tough
And, papa, I don't think I said 'I love you' near enough
The leader of the band is tired and his eyes are growing old
But his blood runs through my instrument and
his song is in my soul
My life has been a poor attempt to imitate the man
I'm just a living legacy to the leader of the band

I am the living legacy to the leader of the band.

True Friendship...

Catching moments like these on film bring joy to my heart. Memories I will want to cherish forever. The joy of sharing life with the little souls that make my life meaningful and worth living.

Gilbert and Brandy-Dandilion were both found on the streets of Providence, Rhode Island. Gilbert was a frightened and lonely stray who had the look of having given up in his eyes. Brandy was a three month old pup that was regularly beaten with a belt and thrown out of the house all day long until nightfall. Both are now happy, loving pets... to all!

Trixie watches animal planet

Trixie loves Animal Planet. She loves watching and listening to the sounds of her distant relatives. But she really doesn't like commercial interruptions.

A present for John (my husband and daddy cat)

I spent several days making my husband a new comforter for our bed. I used one of his favorite colors, we call Dalai Lama orange. I put it on the bed just before he was arriving home from work. And then of course, I covered it with beautiful "throw kitties".

Grandma knits Polly an Afghan

Snug as a bug in a rug. Grandma knitted Polly her first afghan.
It is a long tradition in the Harmony Kitty home to get covered by kitty afghans when napping.

Polly Gets a Family

I'm Polly. My feral momma kitty abandoned me.
But it worked out because I was adopted at about 3 weeks old
by a really big fun family.

mmmmm.... my favorite... bottle time

Check out how brave I am. The first night I slept
right on top of the biggest kitty in the house. Big ol'
Tom cat... Gilbert.
